I am an American Watchmaker’s Institute Certified Master Clockmaker, and served as a technical writer and editor for “Horological Times” magazine and as a director and second vice-president of AWI. (Now AWCI) I was head of the service department at what was the largest clock repair operation in the Chicago area and trained 4 apprentices, two of whom are also Certified Master Clockmakers. I repair almost any clock or watch and enjoy a challenge. I offer free estimates in my shop in Harrisburg, PA.

Here are a couple of movements from the “Self-Winding Clock Company” that were recently
in the shop.
The SWCC began manufacturing in 1886 with the model “A” on the left. Into the 20th century they changed to the model “F” as seen on the right. Most of these ran on 3 volts DC.
